We are an early-stage startup from Berlin on a mission to accelerate the development of utility-scale renewable energy projects. We build a web platform to support renewable energy project developers with data insights and integrations to build more projects, faster. We’re looking for a working student to join our team and support us with software development.
This is a part-time entry-level position and no prior professional experience as a software engineer is required. You will join a team of experienced software engineers and will have an opportunity to learn best practices of building, maintaining and operating software systems. We offer plenty of support in guiding you to the right direction, but expect that you can work independently and demonstrate a proactive approach to problem solving.
Some of your tasks will include:
- Developing new functionalities in our web application (JavaScript, Django)
- Finding and squashing bugs
- Writing automated tests
- Implementing scripts for processing data in Python
- Writing and reading technical documentation in English
- Excellent communication skills in English, German nice to have
- Passion for learning, understanding how things work and sharing knowledge
- Basic understanding of web development concepts and technologies
- Demonstrated experience with software development (e.g. pet project, university assignments, open source contributions), ideally a web app using any modern framework
- Team player that is happy to support their colleagues with tasks if need be
