Around 10% of Germany’s total land area is currently subject to land consolidation procedures. If a planned development falls within an active land consolidation area, project developers should obtain approval from the relevant state authority at an early stage and base their planning directly on the future allocated parcel.

While grid connections will become massively more expensive in some cases, the controversial BKZ obligation for battery storage systems will remain in place.
